Seattle Yacht Sales said in a statement that it acquired Cabrillo Yacht Sales in San Diego. Terms weren’t disclosed.

“It was a natural fit for us to acquire Cabrillo Yacht Sales given that we share some of the same brands, but also because of Seattle Yacht’s growth strategy,” said Peter Whiting, Seattle Yachts managing partner, in the statement. “Cabrillo’s location gives us penetration into a market where we already know our customers are either in or cruising to as a destination.”

Dan Peter, former owner of Cabrillo, will remain with the company as managing broker in the San Diego office.

Seattle Yachts now has locations in Seattle and Anacortes, Wash.; San Diego; and Palm Beach, Fla. It also has satellite brokers in the San Juan Islands and the Philippines.

“We are excited for the future,” Whiting said. “Having locations in major boating destinations on both coasts will truly allow us to serve our customers better and expand our new yacht offerings.”
