Seawide Distribution opens facility in Pennsylvania

Seawide Distribution said it opened a new distribution and logistics center in Youngwood, Pa.

Wholesale distributor Seawide Distribution said it opened a new distribution and logistics center in Youngwood, Pa.

The company said the addition of a third logistics center in the United States enables it to deliver ground shipped orders to more than 90 percent of its customer base in one or two days. Seaside is a wholesale distributor of outdoor products, boat systems, and consumer and marine electronics.

The company said the new 15,000-square-foot location in southwest Pennsylvania allows it to better service its core marine customer base in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest.

The company also said the additional warehousing space supports the continued expansion of its rapidly growing e-commerce segment.

“Seawide has always focused on providing our customers with the highest level of customer service and convenience,” Seawide Distribution president Keith Wansley said in a statement. “The new Pennsylvania facility will allow us to reach new customers, provide faster delivery times and increase value for our existing customers.”

The new distribution center complements Seawide’s locations in markets that include Murrieta, Calif., and Sarasota, Fla. Seawide also has a will call center in Costa Mesa, Calif.
