She brings nearly 10 years of sales support experience to the company. She most recently worked for Sesco Lighting in Sunrise, Fla., providing inside sales support.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in applied science, majoring in business management and supervision, at Broward College in Davie, Fla., and a bachelor’s degree in arts, majoring in Spanish, from Florida International University in Miami. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

The company said Barraza will be responsible for building product awareness with specifiers. She will provide sales and customer service support to shade and boat manufacturers in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee.

Serge Ferrari said it is experiencing growth for its flexible composite materials in these markets after introducing several new products earlier this year, including Precontraint 502 Satin and Stam 6002L — awning and solar shade materials — Soltis 88 (screen and mesh) and Serge Ferrari One (upholstery material).
