Ship Equip opens two new operations centers

Ship Equip, a growing provider of "always-on" broadband communications for the maritime industry, opened new network operations center facilities in Houston and Singapore.

They will support Ship Equip's primary centers in Alesund, Norway, and will provide around-the-clock network monitoring and management for the vessels worldwide that depend on the company's VSAT technology for high-speed ship-to-shore communications at sea.

"Our company motto is 'Seven Seas, One Communication Provider,' and this expansion demonstrates how committed we are to meet the growing needs of our global customer base," CEO Ivar Nesset said in a statement.

"We've invested in the facilities, technology and expertise to ensure optimal communications experiences for our clients and the highest possible level of service and support in all areas of the world," he added.
