A new online resource for those looking to buy or sell used high-performance boats is being offered by Shogren Performance Marine.

The site, which launches this month, is designed as a professional, easy-to-use, affordable consumer and dealer classified advertising service. The photo-rich format, which categorizes boats by brand and model, makes it easy for buyers to find the type of performance boat they want.

"There is a real need for a professional, brand-specific site for offshore boaters, dealers and manufacturers alike to sell new/used boats on their own," said Scott Shogren, of Shogren Performance Marine, in a statement. "We understand the performance marine industry and have talked with hundreds of customers and boatbuilders to develop a format specifically designed for them. The aim is for usedoffshoreboats.com to become the first stop for individuals looking to buy or sell a used performance boat."

Consumers, dealers and boatbuilders can list a used boat by brand and model and post a detailed description with up to 20 photographs for four months for $49.95.

Based on the anticipated success of usedoffshoreboats.com, Shogren is poised to add additional niche marine market segments in the future, the company said.
