Si-Tex Marine Electronics is expanding its Long Island, N.Y., headquarters to consolidate its sales and technical service operations at one location, the company announced.

The move comes about a year after industry veterans Allen Schneider and Ted Bodtmann relaunched the company.

"This expansion is an important growth milestone for us as a company, but it's even more important to our dealers and loyal customers," said Schneider, vice president of sales, in a statement. "We've built our reputation on response to industry needs and providing the highest level of customer service. This has been a challenge over the past year, with our technical service and repairs being handled from a remote location.

"This expansion is not only going to provide Si-Tex with room to grow, it will allow us to do a better job of delivering the products - and knowledgeable support - our customers and business partners have come to expect," he added.
