Soundings Trade Only launches Most Innovative Marine Companies Awards

Soundings Trade Only has launched the Most Innovative Marine Companies Awards for boating industry firms of all sizes around the world. The awards will focus on the achievements of companies, rather than products or individuals, according to a company statement.

“Our industry has recognized individuals and products but has not honored the efforts that companies make to transform their businesses and push the industry forward,” said Michele Goldsmith, publisher of Soundings Trade Only, in the statement. “We’re planning to look at the range of initiatives we’re seeing across the industry, from established companies to startups.”

Goldsmith said the awards panel will review initiatives that include innovative materials, new manufacturing processes, fresh marketing approaches, workforce solutions, supply chain and export programs, and more.

“The goal is to recognize achievements and innovative business practices all over the world,” Goldsmith said. “We know there are many companies inspiring positive change. If you have done something unusual and outstanding in the last year, we want to recognize your efforts.”

The awards will focus on the period from Sept. 1, 2017, through Aug. 31, 2018. Applications may be submitted online through Aug. 31.

An article profiling the Top 10 Most Innovative Marine Companies and one overall winner will appear in the November issue of Soundings Trade Only and on
