Sparcraft America announces personnel move

Sparcraft America, a maker of high-end custom aluminum spars, said Russell Miller joined the company as a design engineer and project manager.

Miller graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a bachelor’s degree in ocean engineering and specialized in marine structures. Sparcraft said Miller also has extensive experience in sailing, having represented the United States at the 2007 Student Yachting World Cup in La Rochelle, France.

The company said Miller will work closely with customers on high-end and custom projects on all technical aspects; develop new products for the North American market; and exploring new opportunities outside the sailing industry.
