Sponsors announced for Xtreme fishing series

Xtreme Fishing Series announced three new sponsors for the 2009 tournament season.

Canyon Bay Boats of Lakeland, Fla., will be the official boat of the Xtreme Redfish Series for the 2009 season. Plus, winners of the series championship will receive a new 18-foot flats boat by Canyon Bay, powered by an Evinrude outboard, along with a trailer.

Legend Boats of Midway, Ark., will be the official boat of the Xtreme Bass Series this year. The boatbuilder also will offer a $2,500 incentive to any team that wins the Xtreme Team Championship and a $1,000 incentive to any angler that wins the One Man Championship fishing out of a Legend Boat. Winners of the 2009 Xtreme Team Championship also will receive a new Legend Alpha 211 boat and trailer powered by an Evinrude outboard.

Roland Martin Marine Center, a Clewiston, Fla.-based dealer for Legend and Stratos bass boats and Evinrude outboards, also entered into a sponsorship agreement with the Xtreme Bass Series for 2009. The dealership was the hosting site for last year's Xtreme Bass Championship.

As part of the agreement for 2009, all Xtreme Bass Team tournaments for the Okeechobee division will be held out of the dealership on the south end of Lake Okeechobee. Roland Martin Marine Center will promote the tournament through the dealership and on its Web site, and provide promotional literature at all of the tournaments held at the dealership.

The dealership will pay the anglers entry fees to either the One Man Series or Team Events for the 2010 season along with a $500 credit at the store to the anglers fishing out of a boat purchased from the dealership. Plus, Roland Martin will offer a $2,500 incentive to any team that wins the Xtreme Team Championship and a $1,000 incentive to any angler who wins the One Man Championship fishing out of a new boat purchased from the dealership.
