Star brite signs on to sponsor B.A.S.S. angler

Marine maintenance and care product maker Star brite said it is sponsoring professional bass angler Shaw Grigsby, who has more than $1 million in B.A.S.S. winnings and is ranked fifth on the B.A.S.S. list of all-time money winners.

Grigsby was the winner of the 1984 Red Man All American and he is a regular on the Bassmaster Elite Series and the Professional Anglers Association Series.

He is the host of TV’s “One More Cast with Shaw Grigsby” and is the author of “Bass Master Shaw Grigsby: Notes on Fishing and Life.”

Grigsby’s most recent wins include first place in the 2011 B.A.S.S. Elite Series Harris Chain, Fla. He has a string of first-place finishes dating from 1998 in many of the top bass fishing tournaments nationwide. He was inducted into the Legends of the Outdoors Hall of Fame in 2004 and has been awarded Gold Medals for bass fishing in 2002 and 2003 at the Great Outdoor Games.

“We are very pleased to be adding Shaw to our pro staff,” Star brite executive vice president Gregor Dornau said in a statement. “He embodies our vision of sportsmanship and will represent our brands extremely well.”
