Structural Composites president and co-founder Scott Lewit received the Lifetime Achievement Award for Technology at the Florida Technovation/TechExpo.

Lewit received a Congressional Medal of Merit from U.S. Rep. Bill Posey, R-Fla., for the achievement.

The Lifetime Achievement in Technology award is presented to someone whose impact, influence and work in the technology community has resulted in significant success of the organization in which that person has been associated and who has also benefited the regional technology community as a whole.

“It is truly an honor to be selected for this award and to be recognized by Congress with a medal of merit,” Lewit said in a statement. “It is humbling to be selected for such a prestigious award. I would like to thankEmbraer, Thales, AT&T, MIDAIR and the Florida Institute of Technology for this selection and for sponsoring advanced technology and Innovation though the TechExpo event.”
