Sunbrella starts recycling program

Glen Raven Custom Fabrics has created a recycling program for its Sunbrella material.

Sunbrella fabrics returned to Glen Raven will find new life in a variety of products, from felt for car insulation and protective padding for sports equipment to decorative applications such as outdoor rugs.

The program, "Recycle My Sunbrella," operates through a new Web site.

Glen Raven will also recycle packaging materials, such as cardboard boxes or pallets. The company is funding all administrative and processing costs associated with the recycling program. The only cost to Glen Raven customers or consumers is shipping to the recycling center in Anderson, S.C.
