Superyacht Summit partners with Refit Show

In 2019, the U.S. Superyacht Association will move its annual Superyacht Summit to align with the Refit Show in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., in April. The summit typically takes place in Palm Beach, Fla., in March but will be moved to April 9 at the Broward County Convention Center, where the Refit Show will be held April 10-11.

The Refit Show attracts yacht captains and crewmembers, boatyard personnel, designers, engineers, subcontractors and consultants. Organizers said the 2018 show had a 28 percent increase in attendance over the 2017 event. Producers selected the dates for 2019 to coincide with the superyacht circuit moving from the Caribbean to Florida in spring.

The Superyacht Summit is a daylong conference entering its sixth year. The U.S. Superyacht Association produces seminars on variety of topics, and attendees are predominantly professional and technical service providers and marina/boatyard operators.

The Refit Show and Superyacht Summit will remain independent events but will support each other through co-marketing and networking.

“The Refit Show’s relationship with the Superyacht Summit will facilitate growth for the both events,” said Refit Show director Jim Miller in a statement. “The industry now has three back-to-back days of valuable education, networking and sales opportunities.”
