Superyacht summit scheduled in Florida

The second annual USSA Superyacht Summit, a gathering of regional, national and international superyacht industry partners, will take place March 24-25 at the West Palm Beach Marriott in Florida.

Scheduled immediately before the Palm Beach International Boat Show, the event includes professional and personal development programming, networking and action steps for the global superyacht industry. Attendees can tailor their experiences from a program composed of presentations and smaller breakout tracks.

Highlights of the summit include "The Pulse of the Industry;" "Cuba: The Last Frontier;" "Luxury Lifestyle Marketing;" and other current topics of interest. Daily breakout sessions include "Working with Captains;" "The Digital Landscape;" and "Business Expansion Strategies.”

In 2014, people from more than 14 states — including California, Connecticut, Florida, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia, in addition to Canada, Turks & Caicos, the United Kingdom and the Marshall Islands — attended the event.

They represented market sectors that include marinas and shipyards, media, designers and engineers, yacht managers and manufacturers, captains, brokers and professional services.

Each day's programming is followed by networking receptions, including a cocktail party and a tour of Rybovich on the evening of March 24 and a poolside reception at the Marriott on March 25.
