SureShade gains patent for new shade system

SureShade received final patent approval for its “Pull-Out Manual Shade System."

SureShade received final patent approval for its “Pull-Out Manual Shade System,” which is marketed in the recreational boating industry as the SureShade RTX Pull-Out Tele-frame shade.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office will issue SureShade patent number 9,139,258 on Sept. 22.

SureShade said OEM projects are underway to incorporate the SureShade RTX Pull-Out Tele-frame Shade at the factory on select boat models.

SureShade is also working directly with boat dealers and private boat owners on aftermarket sales and installations of the RTX shade.

"Built with the same self-supported telescoping framework as our automated and manual shade products, SureShade RTX provides a much-needed shade option for the popular smaller boat segment without compromising quality or functionality," SureShade product inventor and operations leader Ron Russikoff said in a statement.

"The RTX shade is designed for a variety of boat styles, with figure-eight and swivel clamps that allow for installation flexibility and ease for OEM integrations, dealer aftermarket sales or as DIY boater installations.”
