Suzuki Reveals DF250SS Outboard
Suzuki Marine introduced its latest outboard, the DF250SS. The 250-hp 4-stroke is the flagship of the company’s Sport Series high-performance outboards.
Based on a V-6 block, the engine has an improved intake system, a “thrust mount” component to reduce vibration, and is available with a new Watergrip propellers, Suzuki said in a statement.
Like the rest of the SS lineup, the engine has an aggressive hole shot, strong midrange performance, better throttle response and improved efficiency for bass, bay and other shallow-water boats.
Available in matte black or white, the outboard features a revised cowl design with additional louvers, cover grips and SS-style graphics.
The DF250SS is the first Sport Series outboard compatible with Suzuki’s Precision Control electronic shift, which also integrates with the Digital Pro-Pedal Foot Throttle. The engine is available in 20- and 25-inch shaft lengths.
Suzuki also announced the DF115SS, a 4-cylinder, 115-hp outboard for boats that require a lightweight, high-performance engine.
