Blue Creative, Sand People Announce Merger


Marketing and public relations firms Sand People and Blue Creative Group have merged to create a “full-service boutique agency.”

The companies completed a transaction to merge into a single entity with offices in Colorado, Switzerland, Massachusetts and Rhode Island, according to a statement earlier this week. It serves clients worldwide in the yachting, luxury lifestyle, sustainable energy, finance, manufacturing and technology markets.

Both Sand People and Blue Creative will retain their respective brand names and management, the statement said.

The combined company offers such services as media relations, media buying, content development, event development and management, graphic design and creative services, SEO, website development, video production, market research, social-media management, strategic planning. and brand development.

Fresnel Cos. and Fresnel Growth Capital, led by partner Thomas Thies, advised Blue Creative Group and facilitated the transaction.

The combined entity “will transition to a unified operational structure to leverage opportunities and expertise,” the statement said. “Furthermore, the combined entity will benefit from additional relationships and partnerships as part of the Fresnel Cos.’ portfolio.”
