The Sailing Channel signs Web partnerships

Google recently designated The Sailing Channel as a YouTube partner, which allows the company to rent its sailing documentaries to YouTube subscribers.

Eight documentaries are available, including all four Lin and Larry Pardey videos. Soon all titles will be available for YouTube rental.

The Sailing Channel also has partnered with Miniweb.TV, a U.K. company that uses the Woomi App to stream Web-based content to Internet-connected TVs. As a Miniweb partner, TheSailingChannel can rent its documentaries directly to global TV audiences.

Woomi launched this month in Europe and will be available on U.S. Samsung TVs in the second quarter of 2011.
