TopSide Marinas Makes First Two Acquisitions

Beavers Bend Marina

Texas-based TopSide Marinas announced in a statement that it acquired Beavers Bend Marina in Oklahoma and Galveston Yacht Basin in Texas.

Founded in January 2020, TopSide is backed by Miramar Equity Partners and TRT Holdings. TopSide acquired Beavers Bend Marina on Broken Bow Lake in Broken Bow, Okla., earlier this year.

“Everything we do comes back to hospitality. We want to foster environments where families and friends feel welcome to come and enjoy their time on the water,” co-founder Stephen Lehn said in a statement.

TopSide acquired Galveston Yacht Basin in August. The facility is off the Galveston Ship Channel, near the Gulf of Mexico.

“We partner with marina owners who have spent an immense amount of time, effort and energy building impressive businesses,” said TopSide co-founder Jacob Boan. “We . . . believe it’s our job to first understand that legacy, then continue it.”
