TowBoatU.S. Rochester, N.Y., is under new ownership, with Capt. Jake Van Reenen at the helm.

"I want to show area boaters that I can provide reliable service 24 hours a day and get them safely back to launch ramps or marinas," Van Reenen said.

Van Reenen has been cruising area waters, as well as in the Thousand Islands region, "since I was born," he said. Van Reenen is Coast Guard-licensed and lives year-round aboard his 43-foot Albin trawler on the Genesee River.

TowBoatU.S. Rochester is at Voyager Boat Sales inside the Genesee River Inlet and offers a 25-mile service area.
