The Coast Guard Foundation today is holding its annual tribute to the Coast Guard’s 14th District in Honolulu.

The event honors local Coast Guard members who protect coastline shores from the Hawaiian Islands to Guam.

In addition, this tribute will raise funds to support the organization’s important projects and programs on behalf of the Coast Guard.

The Coast Guard Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 1969. It was initially created to provide funds for needs of the Coast Guard Academy and its cadets. In 1986, the foundation expanded its charter to support projects that enhance the education, welfare and morale of all Coast Guard members and their families.
