As stated in a March 22 letter to dealers, Irwin Jacobs' J&D Acquisitions announced Triumph Boats, presently built in Durham, N.C., is moving manufacturing operations to Little Falls, Minn.

Little Falls is the home of Larson, Seaswirl and FinCraft boats, also owned by J&D.

"It is unfortunate during these difficult times of high unemployment to move any company from its present location to another; however, it became clear that in order for Triumph to be able to successfully compete in the market that this was going to be a necessary change," co-owners Jacobs and John Paul DeJoria said in a statement.
