Well-known Canadian boating writer Jonathan Lee died after having a severe stroke. He was 37.

The former editor of Boatguide, Boating Business and Ports Cruising Guides will be remembered as much for his professionalism as his enthusiasm for the entire boating industry.

A memorial service will be held May 12 in Burlington, Ontario.

His family is asking that donations on his behalf be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
