Boats and captains are needed for the seventh annual Take a Hero Fishing Tournament on May 8 in Fort Lauderdale.

Local boats take sailors who are in town for Fleet Week to try their hand at offshore fishing at Lauderdale Marina.

Boats must be at least 23 feet and donors must be willing to take a minimum of two sailors for a half-day fishing trip.

Boats must come equipped with a captain, all fishing gear, bait, food and beverages.
