Discover Boating produced three “Stories of Discovery” documentaries that are a cornerstone of its 2014 marketing campaign.
The campaign shares real boaters’ inspiring stories of their life on the water through documentary-style videos. The videos and other special insights from behind the scenes of these boaters’ lives will be featured throughout the campaign across advertising, social media and public relations, helping to introduce more people to the benefits of boating.
Through the videos, viewers will meet country singer Jake Owen, the Ader family and wakeboarder Justin Caskey as they tell their personal story of being a boater.
Discover Boating, the industrywide effort to promote the boating lifestyle, said the videos already have been seen more than 2 million times.
The video about the Aders shows their 85-year-old grandfather coming aboard the family tugboat and enjoying fresh crab with them.
