VIDEO: Pilot, marine community avert disaster

Watch how New York's lower Hudson River commercial marine community sprang into action Thursday, working alongside the Coast Guard and other emergency personnel to rescue all 155 passengers of the downed US Airways plane from the 35-degree water.

Ferry and rescue personnel reportedly plucked people directly from the wing of the aircraft. The pilot of US Airways Flight 1549 is earning praise for bringing the plane down safely in the busy waterway, in what many call a miraculous landing.
