Video: Three rescued after boat crash in Government Cut

Three passengers were rescued by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Friday night after their boat crashed into a jetty at the end of Government Cut.

As reported by CBS Miami, two of the passengers suffered mostly scrapes and bruises. The third was taken to the hospital with injuries that were described as “non-threatening.”

Video recorded at the scene captured the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue swimmer battling the current to reach the boat.

The twin-outboard boat hit the rocks near the same spot where Miami Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez and two others died after running his boat up on the rocks in 2016.
