Viking and Valhalla Wrap VIP Show
Viking Yachts and Valhalla Boatworks last week wrapped up their VIP show at Viking Yacht Service Center in Riviera Beach, Fla.
Viking president and CEO Pat Healey kicked off the show by announcing a new Valhalla V-55 flagship. The 55-foot center console will debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show this fall. The boat will run with standard quad or optional quintuple 600-hp Mercury Verado V-12 outboards.
Eight Viking models between 46 and 80 feet were on display, as well as the entire Valhalla lineup. Twenty-four boats were sold: 13 Valhallas (nine of which were presold V-55s) and 11 Vikings.
The V-55 announcement comes a year after the flagship V-46 was revealed and less than three years since the Viking Yacht Co. division launched with the V-33, V-37 and V-41.
“What we’re doing is incredible — bringing two new flagships to the market within months of each other,” Healey said in a statement. “We design the best, we build the best, and we have the best team in the business. We’re going to keep pushing the envelope, and the V-55 is the latest example of this.”
