“This opportunity to introduce our fully electric outboard and powertrain, the E-Motion, in front of the members at the Freedom Boat Club in South Florida provides exposure to an audience that are avid boaters and will experience the benefits of electric on the water,” Vision Marine co-founder and CEO Alexandre Mongeon said in a statement.
The boats will be available for use by all FBC members for six months. Freedom Boat Club South Florida, which owns the Deerfield Beach location, operates 10 total locations in southeast Florida with approximately 1,800 members. After the evaluation period, Vision and the club will explore expanding the partnership across all of its locations.
“We are excited to be introducing cutting-edge, extended-range powertrain systems to our Freedom Boat Club fleet in South Florida,” said Dan Lund, CEO of Freedom Boat Club South Florida. “Our partnership with Alex Mongeon and his Vision Marine team allows our members to experience firsthand the next wave of innovation in marine propulsion.”
