Volvo Penta CEO to speak at COMITT

Clint Moore, president and CEO of Volvo Penta of the Americas, will be a featured speaker at next month's Conference on Marine Industry Technical Training in Miami Beach.

During the Oct. 11 luncheon at COMITT, Moore will discuss the importance of supporting and taking an active leadership role in the training and education of employees.

"He has some remarkable experiences to share, and we are looking forward to his insights, especially about how training and education for employees can create a positive experience for the end-customer in terms of quality, reliability and safety," said Barbara Jean Walsh, COMITT planning committee chair, in a statement. "Under his leadership, Volvo has achieved and maintained a high standard of excellence in customer satisfaction."

Moore has more than 35 years of experience in the North American leisure, commercial and industrial marine business. He has been with Volvo Penta of the Americas since 1996. Before that, he held leadership positions at Mercury Marine, Genmar Industries and Basset Boat Co.
