The National Association of Manufacturers is holding a webinar today about the deployment of augmented reality.

NAM describes AR as “bridging the gap between the wealth of digital information available to us and the physical world where we apply it.”

The webinar, which starts at 2 p.m. (ET), will provide guidance for the strategic choices and deployment approaches companies should consider. It will provide strategies for deploying AR and the critical choices companies will face as they integrate AR into their overall strategies.

Jim Heppelmann, CEO of software company PTC, and Harvard Business School professor Michael Porter examined various approaches companies can take in a recent article in the Harvard Business Review, titled “Why Every Organization Needs an Augmented Reality Strategy.”

Webinar presenters include PTC senior business analyst Rocky Jung, PTC lead principle business analyst Jon Lang and PTC senior analyst Caroline McManus.
