Westerbeke forms Pacific distribution unit

Massachusetts-based Westerbeke Corp. introduced a new support business and warehouse in Australia for the Pacific region, the company announced.

In cooperation with Marine Energy Systems Australia, a new support function was developed for Westerbeke distributors and appointed Westerbeke Pacific.

The purpose of Westerbeke Pacific is to provide distributors and OEMs in the area with generators, engines and spare parts with the shortest possible lead time and reasonable landed costs.

Distributors can also continue to purchase products directly from the factory and use Westerbeke Pacific as an additional resource to supply requirements that weren't forecast and reduce freight costs.
