WindRider names new CEO

WindRider International promoted Robert Sanberg to president and CEO of the company.

WindRider International promoted Robert Sanberg to president and CEO of the company.

He succeeds Dean Sanberg, who will continue with WindRider in an advisory role.

Robert Sandberg began working for WindRider in 2010, gaining experience in all departments and assuming greater responsibility in subsequent years.

WindRider International, along with its manufacturing division Nickels Boat Works based in Michigan, has a mission to encourage more people to sail and for those who do sail, to sail more.

Nickels Boat Works brands include one-design Lightning, Buccaneer, Mutineer and JY15.

In addition, eight models of sailing trimarans include the WindRider brand manufactured in the U.S. and French-made Astus trimarans.
