Minnesota-based WindRider said it will represent Astus, a brand of sailing trimaran manufactured in France.

Astus was founded in 2004 by Jean-Hubert Pommois, designer of the Astus sailboats. The Astus line of trimarans provides U.S. sailing enthusiasts with new options in the growing multihull sailboat market.

WindRider said it makes and distributes three models of sailing trimarans from 10 to 17 feet and is known for “sailing simplified” with easy, stable, durable and exciting sailboats.

The company said sailors now have a multihull to fit their needs with Astus’ four larger models — 18.2-, 20.2-, 22- and 24-foot (approximate length in feet) boats with vacuum infusion fiberglass construction.

WindRider said the first delivery to Florida will be the Astus 20.2, which provides room for six adults in the cockpit and a cabin with a double berth and plenty of storage space.

Astus and WindRider will be at the Strictly Sail Boat Show in Miami next February.
