Wisconsin buoyed by jump in aluminum sales

The boatbuilding industry in Wisconsin, a state that loves its aluminum boats, saw signs of optimism from a report that sales of 18-foot aluminum boats in the first three months of 2010 are up 30 percent from the same period a year ago.

The Journal Sentinel newspaper in Milwaukee offers an in-depth look into this segment of the marine industry and why this could be an indication that overall boating sales in the state overall might improve in the coming months.
