XFR Marine Repair Kit

Rhino Hide’s Xtreme Fast Repair (XFR) Marine Repair Kit is a fast-setting liquid plastic to anchor, rebuild, bond and repair all kinds of surfaces.

The waterproof, non-sag, fast-curing moldable urethane is perfect for fiberglass, wood, metal, tile, concrete and other bondable surfaces, according to the company. XFR sets in one minute. It is solid, yet pliable, with a tensile strength of 4,000 psi.

XFR can be used to fix plastic panels, fiberglass parts, antennas, cabinetry, fixtures and plastic welds. It expands and contracts with the material to which it adheres, and won’t crack, shrink or separate, the company says.

For anchor repairs, XFR can be used as a liquid rivet, actually forming a temporary light- duty bolt or screw.  It also can be used as a re-thread material in which the substrate has become weak or stripped out.

With no odor or VOCs, non-flammable XFR is easy to work with and cleans up with alcohol, according to the manufacturer. Any unused portions can be stored and re-used. XFR will not harden in the tube. Available in a storage twist pack, Rhino Hide XFR Marine Repair Kit contains a cartridge, plunger, three mixer tips, sandpaper and form sheet. It retails for $15.
