Yachting boom gains steam in China

During the next decade, the number of yachts in China will grow by 100,000 and the market will be worth between $7.8 billion and $15 billion, according to a report that the China Cruise and Yacht Industry Association.

China's yacht market has rapidly developed in the last two years. At the end of 2010 there were 1,500 yachts in China, 300 of which were high-end vessels worth more than $2.5 million.

A report by China Daily looks at some of the hot spots for yacht club and marina development and yacht sales in a clearly growing international market.
