Yamaha Marine Group has named David McEwen as maintenance product specialist.
The company said McEwen will help customers and dealers understand the importance and timing of proper marine maintenance. He also will be responsible for making sure Yamaha marine products and information services are readily accessible, helping to foster continued customer satisfaction through the ownership experience.
“We are pleased to have David join our team in this multifaceted role,” David Meeler, Yamaha’s marine product information manager, said in a statement. “His experience and enthusiasm will help to propel our ‘Maintenance Matters’ initiative, which emphasizes marine maintenance education, products and availability.”
McEwen comes to Yamaha Marine from the retail automotive parts and supplies industry, where Yamaha said he achieved record maintenance and repair product sales through direct customer education. He also owned and operated a local business for more than 16 years.
