The Customer Service/Technical Support Specialist provides answers to common questions about our products. They offer technical support for all Pleasurecraft Engine Group (PEG) products and will answer technical questions to assist our dealer base to troubleshoot complicated technical inquiries—offering comprehensive support in a timely manner. Technical support specialists are critical thinkers who help create customer loyalty, following up on issues when appropriate.

Primary Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming phone calls as required and follow up accordingly
• Process warranty claims within customer service software
• Provide technical support for our dealer base as required
• Use negotiation and problem-solving skills to resolve customer concerns
• Identify and assess customer needs based on interactions
• Troubleshoot and communicate technical answers clearly and concisely
• Take accountability for and resolve all customer issues and follow up when appropriate
• Utilize tools and resources on every call to make appropriate recommendations
• Perform repairs on engines within boats on or off-site as required
• Adhere to attendance guidelines to ensure successful contribution to team goals and performance initiatives
• Perform additional duties and projects as required and/or assigned

Skills Required

• Knowledge of marine engines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel
• Detailed oriented with very strong planning/organizational skills
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team player who has a strong desire to succeed and is committed to excellence

Required Education:

• High School Diploma

Required Experience

• Marine/Auto engine knowledge helpful
