Implementation Specialist/Trainer (Remote) - DockMaster Software


DockMaster has been a complete Marine Management Software for Marine Dealers, Boatyards and Marinas since 1983. The Implementation Specialist/Trainer is responsible for making sure existing customers are utilizing the Dockmaster software to their full potential. They will be responsible for handling new client onboarding and trainings, creation of product documentation and videos, staying up to date on all aspects of the Dockmaster software and assisting with quality assurance testing. This position will report to the Operations Manager and Director of Operations. 30-40% travel required.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Scheduling classes, implementations, and services with customers
  • Troubleshooting and evaluating customer issues and needs utilizing a consultative approach to provide solutions
  • Providing customer feedback to improve and enhance our product and solutions
  • Team collaboration to find solutions for complex customer needs
  • Aid in the sale of services to customers to help them fully utilize the system by offering consulting, training, demos and data solutions
  • Create and manage customer-facing documents and videos to help clients utilize and understand Dockmaster
  • Stay up to date with all aspects of the Dockmaster software and assist with quality assurance testing
  • Ensures customer requirements are met in a timely manner
  • Complete online and in-person client trainings and fact-finding sessions
  • Assist with other team activities/priorities as needed

Skills & Requirements

  • Trainer or super user that has experience with DockMaster, CDK Lightspeed or IDS a plus
  • Prior experience with onboarding and supporting software a plus
  • Prior experience with training online and in-person a plus
  • Experience with customer service
  • Process and product focus. Figuring out and implementing complex systems excites you, and you have a strong understanding of how to use technology and automation to improve process
  • You love people and truly care about their success
  • Self-starter mentality, extremely organized, detail-oriented, and understand deadlines. You don’t let little things slip through the cracks
  • English grammar and writing skills are top-notch
  • Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects and responsibilities at the same time
