Founded in 1992, Blue Wave Boats builds legendary bay boats from 19 – 28’, including 2800 Pure Hybrid, the world’s largest bay boat. Operations are based in a state-of-the-art 165,000 sq ft facility in Seminole, OK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a team in Lamination, RTM and Gel coating
• Set production schedules for departments based on demand
• Train, cross-train, instruct and direct work activities of employees
• Monitor schedule and daily production, adjust as needed to meet manufacturing goals
• Monitor work activities across production departments adjusting resources as needed to meet goals
• Support team as needed to maintain optimal productivity
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with establish policies and procedures
• Utilize Lean principles to maximize efficiencies
• Create culture of continuous improvement reducing waste and maximizing resources
• Resolves personnel issues by analyzing, investigating issues, identifying solutions, recommending action
• Establish tracking method to gauge, teach and implement KPI’s (key performance indicator)
• Perform time studies to assist with BOM’s (bill of materials)
• Identify issues and develop an action plan to correct
• Enforce company policies and guidelines
• Communicates with and assists other departments as needed
• Lead by Example

Qualifications & Competencies

• 3 plus years of supervision and production planning experience within a manufacturing environment
• Previous lamination experience
• Ability to coach personnel
• Experience with process improvement and managing process
• Ability to address issues in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to prioritize projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Organizational and time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and written
• Proficient with Microsoft Office

Physical Requirements

• Ability to be standing for long periods of time
• Ability to travel the production facility
• Ability to lift 25 pounds
• Ability to kneel, bend, climb, stretch, reach and lean
