Imtra Corporation is a leading importer and manufacturer of high-quality equipment for the Recreational and Commercial Marine, Energy and Transportation markets. We are actively looking to expand our support team that caters to our growing business in these sectors.

We have an immediate opening for a lighting product manager and a service technician located in our New Bedford office.

PRODUCT MANAGER

This position entails:

· Working in conjunction with the outside sales team to ensure follow-through of customer projects

· Consistent support of our inside sales team with product and customer support

· Communicating closely with trade accounts, boat manufacturing engineers, end users and sales teams

· Evaluation of proposed system design to ensure optimal performance and proper installation

· Capable of matching appropriate product recommendations with customer needs

· Dedication to excellent customer service

· Developing lasting and effective relationships with key decision makers

· Being organized and able to manage multiple projects from concept to delivery and beyond

· Delivering a high level of product support to all constituents

· Exhibiting the ability to work with all departments in the company as well as key customers and our international suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical sales support and product recommendations to Aftermarket, Trade and OEM clients
  • Work closely with marketing department to develop support collateral materials and build brand awareness
  • Prompt and thorough sales support for both our inside and outside sales teams including product support and order flow management
  • Field travel with outside sales teams
  • Develop and maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction and client relations
  • Assess market competition and related products
  • Provide information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts, budgets, and special reports
  • Interface with sourcing team to facilitate inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and production schedules
  • Work closely with lighting technical support team to test products and scenarios
  • Collaborate with Content Manager and videographers assisting with video and content creation
  • Support company’s involvement in industry exhibitions

Desired Achievements and Skills

· Sales and/or Product Management experience in marine or similar industry

· Experience with marine lighting technology and related products

· Excellent communication skills (active listening, writing, speaking and telephone)

· Ability to win business utilizing a consultative sales approach putting customers’ needs first

· Practical experience and knowledge of DC electrical systems

· Ability to manage conflict and resolve issues with a successful outcome

· Handle calls and other communication associated with our business responsively, tactfully and diplomatically

· Exhibit excellent time management and organizational skills

· Team player, willingness to work on any possible issues

· Must possess strong attention to detail with the ability to remain focused managing multiple and competing priorities effectively

· Comfort and familiarity with Microsoft Office and/or Office365 applications

· Ability to work independently

SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Imtra’s service department consists of several positions that work closely together as a team. The service technician is an individual role responsible for running and maintaining the service shop, with input and cooperation from other members of the service team, product managers and engineering. The service technician evaluates, troubleshoots and repairs product. Communicating warranty decisions and repair evaluation, with customers, vendors and team members. This position entails:

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and troubleshoot returned product for warranty consideration
  • Repair and rebuilding of failed product
  • Communicate findings with customers, vendors, and team members; verbally and email
  • Record keeping and order entry
  • Maintain workshop

Required Achievements and Skills

  • Basic understanding of DC electricity; components, circuity and troubleshooting
  • Mechanical experience
  • Basic computer skills

Necessary Traits for Success

  • Communication skills

  • Adaptability

Helpful (though not mandatory) Experience or Knowledge

  • Lathe and milling machine experience
