Reporting Relationship: Presta Marine National Sales Manager 

Location: Home Office  (preferably Tennessee, N carolina, S Carolina or Florida market: will consider outside markets). Primary territory includes Mid-Atlantic and Southeast US. 

We are in the need of a talented individual to fill the role of Presta Marine Technical Sales Representative.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Marine afermarket or Marine OEM industry.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. A degree may be waived with 5 years of related experience in marine market.


o Must be an excellent communicator, outward and upward.

o Must be self-motivated and self-disciplined.

o Strong sense of urgency / High level of confidence / High energy.

o Person must be assertive and able to identify sales opportunities, system problems and present solutions using critical thinking and problem-solving skills / forward thinking.

o Ability to prioritize work while managing multiple projects / must meet deadlines as established.

o Attention to detail and ability to follow-up is critical. Ability to meet deadlines.

o Able to work flexible hours with frequent travel; 50% to 75%.

o Experience with Marine coatings are a plus.

o Spanish speaking is a plus.

o Ability to use Microsoft Office

Principal Area of Responsibility: 

The individual in this position must be able to make effective product demonstrations to grow sales, travel as required, will primarily focus on OEM manufacturers and marine distributors. Will work independently and with Manufacturing and Distributor Sales Representatives making OEM and end-user sales and product training calls.

Specific Objectives:

Ø To understand and follow Malco’s Quality Policy and Quality Objectives.

Ø To access and follow procedures and work instructions which are applicable to the job function.

Ø Support Malco Products, Inc. policies, practices, guidelines and solutions.

Ø Must make effective product demonstrations for the purpose of growing sales in the OEM, repair centers, professional aftermarket, distributor stores, national warehouse distributors and marine retail centers.

Ø Ability to train and support new and current marine OEM’s.

Ø Work daily with customer sales personnel and regional manufacturer’s representatives.

Ø Ability to train sales representatives, manufacturer’s representatives, and warehouse and retail sales associates on how to sell and use Presta Marine Products properly.

Ø Willingness to travel extensively in regional territory, with occasional national trips (may be during inclement weather).

Ø Work with the Presta Marine National Sales Manager to develop annual goals and growth targets, and achieve annual sales budget.

Ø Send call reports from field activity, competitive information, product and promotion ideas and industry information and changes to the Presta Marine National Sales Manager.

Coach Marine Group adds manufacturing facility

Coach Marine Group, which builds Coach and Xcursion pontoon boats from 19 to 27 feet, is expanding into a second facility in Chanute, Kan., with production beginning later this summer. The company currently builds boats in Humboldt, Iowa.
