Aspen Power Catamarans of Burlington Washington the rapidly expanding world leader in Power Proa Catamarans has an opening for a Production Supervisor. This hands-on position will organize, train, build and schedule our Yacht teams flow during the build process of 40’ power catamarans. The position will work with and lead a 7-man team of mechanics, riggers, electricians, and wood craftsmen. The right candidate will have a technical and manufacturing background in the marine industry, and have a passion for manufacturing excellence and consistency, and the ability to share this passion with the team. A problem-solving can-do attitude focused to smooth production and improve quality continually are keys to this managers success. This is a hands-on position, not a desk job, working alongside your team in the manufacturing process. The ability to read a team members skill set and place them in a position where they can succeed is important as is verifying accuracy.

The right candidate may have been an assembly production lead in the past or been part of a very successful senior production manager’s team and is now ready to take on new challenges.

This position reports to the CEO and Senior Production Manager. Compensation depends on experience.

Experience:

  • Proven work experience in boat assembly, with familiarity in fiberglass lamination.
  • Experience with open hull rigging, electrical, plumbing, mechanical in 28’ to 40‘+ boats.
  • Experience in final assembly - vinyl wrapped panels, fine wood installs, systems testing and pre-delivery inspections to ensure every system is right.
  • Adequate knowledge of staffing and building a successful team.
  • Familiar with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise.
  • Ability to create accountability and lead by example.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ Years in Boat Manufacturing or service.
  • 2 to 4-year technical or college degree preferred but not required.
  • Computer literate, Excel, Word + search capabilities.
  • Technical college or 4-year degree a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to build a cohesive competent team of winners.

Aspen is also seeking a Marine Service Tech with strong mechanical aptitude and a love for problem solving “the issue” and then following through to a conclusion/fix and happy owner. This position will be part of a 3-man service team caring for 28’,34’ and 40’ power catamarans, from routine service jobs to retrofit upgrades. This position will report to the Service Manager. The preferred candidate will have a background in the marine industry.

Compensation depends on experience.
We will offer relocation expenses for the right candidate.

Experience:

  • 2-6 years’ experience in marine service highly desired, RV or automotive could apply.
  • Experience with 12V wiring, 120V wiring and marine electrical and plumbing.
  • Marine Electronics installations desirable.
  • Experience in oil changes, gear box oil changes, bilge bump replacement and shaft alignments.
  • Familiar with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ Years in marine, automotive, RV or off-road vehicle service.
  • Must have competent hand tools for above.
  • Must follow all safety standards and procedures.
  • Must be organized and tidy.
  • Must be able to work closely with team members and demonstrate respect.
