SALES MANAGER, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve the customer – keep CSI at a high level
  • Resolve customer complaints/concerns/suggestions
  • Explore ways to better serve customer
  • Generate revenue through sales of new, used and brokerage boats
  • Hold weekly sales meetings
  • Cultivate sales staff (i.e., recruit, interview, hire, train, coach, motivate for optimum performance)
  • Follow corporate policies and procedures for training programs and monitor their effectiveness
  • Ensure that all sales staff are following corporate “Lead Management” program, to obtain optimum results
  • Boat show/on-off site sales promotions-coordinate and work
  • New product input
  • Cost containment of all direct sales expenses
  • Regular physical inventory of all units as directed by Central Inventory Control
  • Ensure that all Sales Professionals are maintaining 100% turnover to Business Manager
  • Merchandising and display of Inventory (both show room & yard)
  • Review and approve monthly commission sheets, productivity reports, monthly forecasts and profit performance on departmental basis
  • Establish annual budgets, in conjunction with the Controller – then prepare and execute plans to attain budgets.
  • Responsible for evaluating and managing used boat inventory
  • Drive desirable brokerage listings with sales staff
  • Support and encourage the sales staff to sell revenues in other departments such as boat slips, storage, parts and service
  • Responsible for the marketing of the sales department of your location with the support of corporate marketing

SALES MANAGER, REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience driving and operating large boats is strongly preferred 
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Must be willing to work a non-traditional work schedule due to the retail nature of the job
  • Must be able to lead people as well as drive business goals and objectives
  • Must have strong attention to detail and customer service skills
  • Must have a high level of self-awareness and project an approachable professional image
