VIDEO: Bryant Boats debuts Surf Edition model

Bryant Boats unveiled its new Surf Edition model at Surf Expo in Orlando earlier this month to a full crowd of marine dealers and industry leaders.

“This is the first sterndrive ever to deliver a legitimate wake while combining the safety of a V-drive with the performance of a sterndrive,” Ben Dorton, Bryant brand manager and former member of the collegiate national championship wake team, said in a statement.

“The new surf package includes speed control, surf tabs, 1,700 pounds of ballast and our patented SportPorch. Not only does it give you a ‘real deal’ wake, it puts you further away from the prop than most inboards and the exhaust is released well out of the way of the surfer.”

Bryant said it is targeting boaters who like to surf and wakeboard, but also want the versatility to be able to cruise comfortably, picnic, camp and enjoy higher speeds.

The Bryant Surf Edition boats will range in retail price from the mid-$40,000 to the upper-$80,000 range.
