"This commercial vessel marks the reinstatement of commercial boatbuilding for Burger Boat Co.," the company said in a statement. "Burger, established in 1863, has a long tradition of building both pleasure yachts and commercial vessels, including fishing boats, passenger vessels, tugs, push boats, ferries, minesweepers and sub chasers."

The vessel, designed by SeaCraft Design, will operate in the Great Lakes.
