Chaparral and Robalo Boats have recently awarded scholarships to four children of employees.

The scholarships are awarded based on grade point average, class standing, test scores, extracurricular activities and a personal essay explaining their future plans. The scholarship is worth as much as $10,000 for more than four years of education.

The Chaparral & Robalo Scholarship Award Program has been in place for 16 years and awards have been made to 27 students of Chaparral and Robalo employees.

“We are happy to have this program in place and to be able to give back to our families for all of their hard work,” Chaparral and Robalo boats president Jim Lane said in a statement. “We had a very good group of students this year who have worked hard, and it is our privilege to be able to help them as they advance in the next chapter of their lives.”
