Chris-Craft said Gavan Hunt joined the company as vice president of sales.

Chris-Craft said Hunt is a marine industry veteran with a lifetime of experience. Hunt’s father was a marina manager when Gavan was a child, and he always worked around boating. The family’s boat was a Chris-Craft.

At the University of Texas, Hunt worked with friend Darrell Wilson, owner of the Slalom Shop, a Top 100 marine dealership in the Dallas area.

Hunt most recently was at Cobalt Boats, where he held multiple positions over a 17-year period, including vice president of sales and marketing; director of dealer development; and regional sales manager.

Hunt was in similar roles at Chaparral Boats and the Nautic Global Group. He will be responsible for all domestic and international sales at Chris-Craft.

The company said Hunt will be at its July 17-19 dealer meeting and fall boat shows.
