Chris-Craft signs deal to enter bicycle market

Chris-Craft is moving into the bicycle market with what it is calling a new line of “retro-modern lifestyle bikes.”

Chris-Craft is moving into the bicycle market with what it is calling a new line of “retro-modern lifestyle bikes.”

In partnership with design, development and manufacturing company PTX Performance Products — a deal brokered by IMG, which is Chris-Craft's global licensing agent — the release of the bicycle line extends Chris-Craft's reach from the water to the road.

"When we were offered the opportunity to collaborate with Chris-Craft, our team was elated," PTX Performance Products owner and president Ryan Landen said in a statement. "We have built our reputation in the performance products space by designing, developing and manufacturing high-quality lifestyle bikes and other products. Now, with this partnership, we are being afforded the opportunity to combine our product experience and industry knowledge with this exquisite Chris-Craft style aesthetic and appeal.”

Wood, chrome, and even nautical styles of Chris-Craft will be integrated into the bikes, the company said.

"The unparalleled beauty of Chris-Craft's heritage brand, combined with PTX Performance Products’ high-quality design, take the luxury-lifestyle bike industry to new heights," Chris-Craft chairman Stephen Julius said.
